Hermoso cold storage plant is a company with a well-known history in Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, Patagonia Argentina. Since its beginnings it has grown based on quality from its own plant, meeting SENASA standards (National Health an Quality Agency). Nowadays, Hermoso cold storage plant is producing and trading the traditional Patagonian lamb. Its high quality meat meets all the latest consumer demands: healthy, low cholesterol and it is known worldwide for its tenderness, soft taste and special flavor. These lambs come from Chubut and Santa Cruz, where the weather is dry with very little rain (150 mm per year average). They are raised in herds in extensive pastures where no pesticides or fertilizers are used. As the vegetation is poor, sheep graze freely to get a balanced diet to be able to provide milk to their lambs. This special production has shown, through extensive research, that the meat from the lambs in Patagonia contains low levels of saturated fat and high levels of polyunsaturated due to natural shepherding which results in low cholesterol levels. |
